  6. Warm fill and checkout for operations

Procedure Before power down

  • WedSat, Oct 30: Stop LN2 fills and update SIAS accordinglyNov 2: Las LN2 fill. Update SIAS to indicate that no LN2 fills will be needed starting on Sun, Nov 3. Ensure the HV channel on both ion pumps is turned OFF by the end of the warm up to prevent the autostart function on the ion pump controllers from starting the ion pumps when the power to the ion pump controllers returns.

  • SunTue, Nov 45: Power down instrument using the PDU interface available on any DEIMOS VNC pulldown menu: DEIMOS Engineering → DEIMOS power control GUI. The following sequence is a guideline:

    1. LN2 can ion pump controller

    2. Detector vessel ion pump controller

    3. Barrel D-Link network switch

    4. 10B2 media converter

    5. Galil 1500 #1

    6. Galil 1500 #2

    7. Piezo controller

    8. HP data logger

    9. Barrel Lantronix TS

    10. Science CCD controller power supply
