Afternoon Checkouts

• This is based on feedback about Jim coordination document.

• Should SAs start to do instrument and guider checkouts?

• Will need another status (ready to check out, checked out)

• Extra workload for SAs who had late support (e.g. split night, AO)

• Can we schedule afternoon fills (day crew wait as long as possible now)?

• Which instruments are filled more than once per day? LRIS and ESI. Others are no more than once per day (i.e. DEIMOS, NIRES, HIRES reserve).

• Have instruments filed as early as possible in the day to eliminate late fills.
