Introduction
This page includes details for the broadband calibration sources and the power supplies for the hollow cathode lamps (HCL).Note initially we had four Photron P209 power supplies for the HCLs, but one failed in December 2022 and with regard to a repair Photron proved difficult to work with. We then moved to a Green Scientific power supply as a replacement (unfortunately these are only set up for 220V, hence a voltage adapter is needed): one for the octagon and one for the flate field fiber ('wide flat’) system.
These sources are left with their switches in the ‘on’ position, and are turned on and off by remotely-controlling the relevant Cal Bench PDU outlets via kpfpower.
