  • Lots of positive feedback from SSC members

  • Room for improvement? What can we do better?

  • Andrew is in charge of SysAdmin and possible videoconferencing improvements.

  • Can slides be made public for those that miss or want to read details?

  • Randy: all SAs should have login info for SSC information. Not clear we all have that. Randy will ask Megan to give us access.

  • Post instrument reports publicly? Maybe not, slides built for a specific audience. Think about this, but table it for now.

• Upcoming Organizational Effectiveness Meeting (April 5-6)

  • Reps from observing support/this group: Josh, Rosalie, Randy, Carolyn, Kyle

  • Give input to those people.

  • Think about observing modes, operational modes, queue (KPF), community culture changes, etc.

  • Jim: Organizational Effectiveness or Operational Effectiveness?

    • Hilton suggested increased staff count?

    • Randy: yes, organizational, but we have operational expertise

  • Kyle: “SAs are tip of the spear” interfacing with astronomers/users

  • Randy: tremendous tension between operations and development right now, especially in AO

    • Trying to keep AO operational during development, unlike KCWI which is coming off sky

  • Can we share meeting “homework” / reading material? Yes.

  • Randy will forward that email to SA group.

• Has been on SSC for many years

• If we have names to suggest, Marc can suggest them

• Jim: someone from NIKUG? Overlap or move from one to the other?
