CCR Cool Down Procedure

  • Set the ramp rates:

    • modify -s kpfgreen COLDHEADRMO=on COLDHEADRMP=1.5

    • modify -s kpfgreen STA_CCDRMO=on STA_CCDRMP=1

  • Start the cold head cooling:

    • modify -s kpfgreen COLDHEADTRG=-110

  • Wait a few minutes to let the CH start cooling, then:

    • modify -s kpfgreen STA_CCDTRG=-100

  • When temperatures get to …?Once everything is down to temp or levels off because of the higher partial pressure in the cryostat (maybe 2 hours?), turn on the ion pump:
