Vacuum Chamber Vent Valve

Vacuum Chamber Vent Valve

Table of Contents:

Introduction

A vent valve is located on the door flange of the main vacuum chamber. It has a solenoid within that is controlled by mains power: the vent valve opens when power is applied, and closes when power is removed.

Within KPF it is remotely-controlled by turning its PDU outlet on or off (via kpfpower).

This valve should only be operated by engineering staff while following the chamber venting procedure.
