    • The CRED2 guider is controlled by the kpfguide keyword service. There are multiple output streams from this data, see Instrument Overview | Guider Detector Output Files for more info.

    • There are no filters, just gain settings (high, medium, low).

    • Mechanisms which can affect the guider (i.e. whether is is seeing sky) are located in the Fiber Injection Unit (FIU) and controlled by the kpffiu keyword service.

    • The kpfguide and kpffiu services run on the kpffiuserver machine located in the AO electronics room.
