KPF Network Device Overview

This diagram shows how the various KPF devices are connected into the KPF Private Network, and how the KPF system connects to the observatory network and infrastructure.

System layout notes:

• The KPF system is distributed throughout the observatory, as outlined here.

• A network switch is placed at each location if the number of devices warrant one.

• These network switches connect to the ‘KPF Main Switch’, which acts as the central hub within the KPF Private Network
