Green Instec Dispatcher

kpfgreen d:1

Warns that dispatcher is no longer responding.

Loss of telemetry. Loss of ability to remotely change setpoints an other parameters.

CCD Cold Head Temperature Controllers

Green Instec Cold Head Temperature

kpfgreen.currtemp

warmer
than

-145

Celsius

Aux Rack PDU TBC, Aux Rack Network Switch

Value chosen is warmer than Chris' potential trial set-points

Thermal control of detector has been lost.
Pressure will also rise within main vacuum chamber.

“Barebones” Autofill System

Green LN2 Dewar Weight

kpflab.greenweight

<

54

lbs

In practice should likely be < 52 lbs (the current threshold on the grafana plot). However, setting it higher at 54 allows us to easily test the email alert system as we should get one around 10:45am.

The autofill system has not automatically refilled the dewar holding LN2 used to cool detector.

Vacuum Pump System

Vacuum Pump Bearing Temperature

kpfvac.pump_temp

>

55

C

Vac Cart PDU, Vac Cart Network Switch

Gives some margin before the pump's internal alarm at 60 C goes off.

Vacuum pump temperature is high.

email Chris, Kodi, Steve, Will and Brad

Vacuum Pump Frequency

kpfvac.pump_freq

<

990

Hz

Vac Cart PDU, Vac Cart Network Switch

Nominal value is 1000 Hz. This catches a pump slow-down but gives a 10 Hz buffer for minor fluctuations

The vacuum pump is slowing down, acting erratic, or turning off. Pressure in the main vacuum chamber is not being actively maintained.

email Chris, Kodi, Steve, Will and Brad

Vacuum Gauge Controller

Vacuum Chamber Pressure

kpfvac.vch_hivac

>

3.0E-5

Torr

Vac Cart PDU, Vac Cart Network Switch

This is our operational pressure

The main vacuum chamber pressure is higher than our operational pressure requirement.

email Chris, Kodi, Steve, Will and Brad

Basement Relative Humidity

kpfmet.relh

<

33

%

Vac Cart PDU, Vac Cart Network Switch

Provides warning to observatory staff that basement humidity is low.

Low RH can impact the lifetime of electronic components and increase ESD voltages.

Monitor current draw to ensure motors are not drawing current unnecessarily.

These motors are heat sources when running; we do not want them drawing power unless we are using them.
