1:21 | discussion on future of sharepoint | All | What do we want and not want from share point? Observatory has chosen SharePoint as one of its primary tools for internal information storage and organization Can also be used as external Plan is to have 3 areas Creation of the structure is being done by contractor Not meant to replace pubic web pages Likely SA use case is document sharing Confluence/Atlassian Suite not going away Kyle: what is going away? twikis are going away dropbox is going away
Kyle: what about KeckShare? Randy: primary use cases for us Sharing with other departments (e.g. OAs, AO) Sharing files with collaboration Temporary passing of files to users
Jim: there is a 10GB file transfer limit

1:38 | UNO phased implementation plan | Randy and Carolyn | Phase 1 UNO like ops on K1 Without complete systems Personnel on summit
Phase 2 Phase 3 Phase 1 starting pretty soon Jim: should we try to get earlier release of instruments VWA requires dome lights to go on Jim: would like SIAS task to release some instruments (e.g. LRIS) first During Phase 1, some responses may be slower as we try the “UNO way” first. Guideline is 15 minutes of UNO attempts before failing over to on site methods There is a review 2 weeks from now Still getting cameras and microphones set up for drip detection Everyone please look over UNO plan (was shared by Carolyn to SA group) There are charge codes for UNO instruments
