Fire alarm notifier

• Fire alarm station (computer) in remote ops

• UNO requirement is to see what is going on at summit

• Clouds based system “CLSS Horizon” display

• GUI shows map of facility with sensors

• Fire alarm panel at summit talks to CLSS gateway and then to CLSS cloud service

  • Summit panel still talks to AlertAlarm as always

• 2 types of alarms

  • trouble = usually minor

  • general = fire or smoke detected

• In principle, AlertAlarm has same call/instruction sheet as we do

• Carlos: there are emergency contact cards in remote ops, we should merge those with this call list

• Rosalie: the summitfirealarm@keck email should be on night log distribution list for appropriate ticket categories.

  • Carolyn will take care of this

• MaxB: what if cloud goes down?

  • AlertAlarm should still get notifications

  • What does GUI show then? Probably error message about connection

• Max led a BoF session at ADASS on future of FITS viewers

• What should we use going forward for FITS viewing during operations?

• Max would like to have a guideline for new instruments

• STSCI is using Ginga, but has version locked it and has stopped developing it

• Percy and John P are adopting ginga for NIRES

• MaxB working on Quick Look for DEIMOS Quick Look (PypeIt) in ginga
