• Then “scriptify” it

• Then decide if you want it automatically

• RM: are there types of shutdowns we should consider?

  • CJ: No levels, just plan on extended power outage with no staff.

  • Some computer is computer room will be listed to remain on

• Homework: Send to Jim document with procedure

  • Could use existing Confluence docs for each instrument

NIRC2 FITS Header Issues

• Recent issues where some FITS headers did not get handled properly

  • RTI ingestion overwrote some header values because of changes

• Some AO keywords in NIRC2 headers were using bad CAKE files referencing old WFS. Change should have happened at RTC upgrade.

  • The CAKE is a lie.

• Jim: for AO we “need more cops on the beat” because dev team doesn’t know some of these issues and the instrument-AO-telescope system is complex.
